Overview
A feature is a variable generated in the platform using some custom calculation logic and applying it to one or multiple data elements and/or other already approved features.
This module allows Users to register, simulate and review new features that are built within the platform using registered data elements or other features as inputs.
In addition to creating or registering features, Users can also access a complete list of all the features that have been approved for usage along with details around versioning and lineage.
Registering/creating a Feature
The landing page of the Feature engineering module is a Feature Registry (i.e., dictionary) that lists all the features that have been so far created in the platform. User can use advanced search capabilities by name, alias, status and type find a feature
Feature Creation¶
Users can create a new feature by clicking on the Create button.
The steps to register a new feature are described in the Feature Registry section
Modifying a Feature
Features can be edited, copied, deleted and cloned using the standard object modification tools
Send for approval
Users can request approval by clicking on the Request Approval button.
The request will appear in the Approval Queue where it can be reviewed and processed by a User with the right authority.

A feature’s approval or simulation history can be reviewed by accessing Approvals and Jobs tab in the feature’s registry page.
