Data Elements

Overview

A data element is a column or an aggregated set of columns that can be read from a registered table and that has been registered into the platform using Data Element Registry in Data Vault.

Data elements are used to create features, models and policies

Example

Case study: The user has registered an application table that contains application data such as annual income (annual_inc). In order to use the annual income in a feature (i.e. debt-to-income), model or a policy, the User needs to first register it as a data element in the platform.
