Quality Procedures

Overview

A quality procedure consists of a set of quality check routines that can be run on a table in order to assess its quality. Users can create a quality check procedure, save it and simulate it at will.

How is this used?

The quality checks procedures generate profiling metrics such as Descriptive StatisticsOutliers CountMissing ValuesInvalid EntriesFrequent Values, along with the results of custom quality check rules.

After User has reviewed the simulation results, they can proceed to make any necessary correction to the raw data set through the ingestion process.

Creating a Quality Procedure

To create a quality procedure go to Quality Check under Data Vault for details.

Example

Use case: User has registered a new table called application and now wants to review the quality of the data contained in the table

  • Create a quality procedure and provide a name to the procedure
