Overview

Once an object has been registered, a Lineage is created. The purpose of this horizontal-tree graph is to provide a smooth representation of how an object has been created (Precedents) , how it is being used (Dependents) and (Execution Graph) shows flow of object execution.

Example

  • Once the Data Element Registry is completed, the Lineage can be seen under, the Data Element Details Tab. Scroll down to view the Lineage created.

  • Lineage helps tracing the data elements to the columns and tables that they were originated from
