Clone

Overview

Cloning an object allows a User to create a new version of it. The new version will be a copy of the object being cloned with the same name and same configuration. The name and alias of the clone cannot be changed but the user can change other details (description, keywords, inputs, formula and additional details) and create a new version.

Only the latest approved version of an object can be cloned

By design, all previous uses (in feature engineering, variables, models, policies, etc.) of the older version of the object will not automatically be updated to the new version unless the user manually updates each one of them to refer to the newer version, re-simulates and re-approves.
In all modules, the object will appear with its name when in the newer version or in the format "Name of object (older-version - vN)" if an older version is still being used.

Cloning an Object

  • Once an object has been approved, a Clone button will appear on the top right

  • To create a clone click on Clone

  • A new object registration page will appear with a new version number

  • Once a new version is created user can click on Edit to start making changes to the existing version
